Michael Hughes，M.D.

He was in a group practice from 1994-2018. During that time, he then did full spectrum care from taking care of all ages and seeing patients in the clinic, hospital, emergency room and nursing homes. He served as the medical director for the nursing home in Fruita, CO. from 2007 to 2018. Before starting back in clinical practice in March of 2021, Dr. Hughes took time off toward on reconnecting with his wife and adult children and gaining valuable perspective on having a healthier work/life balance. At Trailhead Clinics he is focusing on Men’s Health issues. Dr. Hughes enjoys spending time with friends and family, landscaping, gardening, refinishing furniture, bike riding, running, hiking, and skiing. He competed as a bicycle racer from 1987-1989 and 1997-98. He competed in the National Individual Time Trial Championship in Spokane, WA in 1988 and the national individual and team time trial along with the National Criterium Championship in Park City, UT in 1989.
